NFL Draft 2024 Rounds 4-7: How to watch today, time, channel | Browns have 4 picks (2024)

DETROIT, Ohio – After another night of life-altering selections, the 2024 NFL Draft comes to a close this afternoon – Saturday, April 27 – live from Detroit’s Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza. This event is available to watch for free on multiple channels and streaming platforms.

The NFL Draft will be broadcast live on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and the NFL Network at noon. Eastern. If you don’t have cable, you can still catch the draft by utilizing multiple free streaming options, including Fubo and DirecTV Stream, which both offer a free trial. Sling TV is offering a promotional discount for new customers.

The Cleveland Browns will have four selections, beginning in the fifth round at No. 156. Cleveland will pick again in the sixth round (No. 206) and twice in the seventh round (No. 227, No. 243).

The Browns drafted former Ohio State defensive tackle Michael Hall Jr. and former Michigan offensive guard Zak Zinter with their two picks on Friday night. The two have been bitter rivals for years. They’ll now share the same uniform.

Night two opened up with a pair of receivers being taken as the Bills selected former Florida State star receiver Keon Coleman while the Chargers traded up to snag Ladd McConkey out of Georgia.

Seen as a first-round candidate, Jer’Zhan Newton fell all the way to the Washington Commanders in the second round at No. 36. Newton earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honors last season with 7.5 sacks and 8.5 TFLs for the Illinois Fighting Illini.

The Titans took a chance on T’Vondre Sweat at No. 38. The former Longhorn had wrecked opposing offenses at Texas but came under scrutiny for his weight issues and a DWI in April.

The Saints traded up to snag former Alabama cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry at No. 41.

Jim Harbaugh chose former Michigan linebacker Junior Colson with the 69th pick.

The Rams traded up from 52 to 39 to select Florida State defensive tackle Braden Fiske. L.A. also selected former Michigan running back Blake Corum at No. 83.

Pittsburgh followed that up by taking former Michigan receiver Roman Wilson at No. 84.

Below are part of thoughts on the Browns’ chances of sneaking into the fourth round on Saturday afternoon from Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot.

GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — Will the Browns trade into their pickless fourth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday? The last pick in the trade for Deshaun Watson, which also includes the third and final first-round pick this year?

If they don’t pick up a fourth by trading up or back, they’ll have a big gap in the draft, from No. 85 in the third round to No. 156 in the fifth. Their first pick is No. 54 in the second round.

With some draft experts believing that the draft drops off considerably about midway through the fourth round, it wouldn’t be surprising for the Browns to try to climb back into that space and make the early part of Day 3 a lot more interesting.

“Just generally it’s never a bad thing to have more picks than not so, we’re active, we’re going to work the phones we’re going to make sure we’re aware of what the possibilities are out there and then I’m sure (GM) Andrew (Berry) has some thoughts in mind,” Glenn Cook, Browns assistant GM, told cleveland.com at a Browns Stay in the Game! school attendance event at Elmwood Elementary. “If we need to strike, we’ll strike and if not, we’re also comfortable using the picks we have, and potentially using less. I think everything’s on the table with us so, we’ll see. We’ll see come Thursday through Saturday.”

Likewise, will the Browns use both of their seventh-round picks on Saturday afternoon, their own No. 243, and the No. 227 from trading reserve offensive tackle Leroy Watson two weeks ago to the Titans? Berry is known for unloading his seventh-rounders.

“We’ll see,” Cook said with a smile. “It’s fun to have an opportunity from the first pick to the last pick to potentially draft a player who comes in and maybe outproduces what people thought, and he’s much better than we thought he was. So we’ll never treat any of our picks as less valuable than the others. We’ll view them all as important and make sure we make the right choices.”
